𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲

The 3rd National Mental Health Conference 2024, hosted by the Ministry of Health and the National Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Working Group, concluded today at the Silver Springs Hotel in Bugolobi, Kampala.

The conference, themed "Strengthening Collaboration and Partnership for Better Mental Health Services in Uganda," brought together mental health professionals, policymakers, and community leaders to address the pressing challenges in the country's mental healthcare sector.

Key highlights of the event included expert panel discussions, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities. Renowned local and international experts shared the latest research and innovative approaches to mental health treatment and program implementation.

Recognizing the importance of engaging the next generation, the conference offered reduced fees for students, enabling them to participate and contribute to the dialogue on advancing mental healthcare in Uganda.

The conference underscored the critical need for enhanced collaboration and partnerships across various stakeholders to improve mental health services and support. Organizers expressed optimism that the insights and connections forged at the event will pave the way for more effective and accessible mental health care for all Ugandans.
