Ambassador
Jan Sadek, the European Union Ambassador to Uganda, and Ambassador Signe
Winding Albjerg, the Danish Ambassador to Uganda, represented Team Europe and
expressed their delight in launching the programs.
Agricultural
Business Initiative (aBi), in collaboration with Denmark in Uganda and
the EU in Uganda,
organized a two-day learning event and launched two major programs: the Green
Agri-Food System Programme (GRASP) and the Accelerating Adoption of Green &
Inclusive Finance (AAGIF). The event took place at Speke Resort Munyonyo on May
2nd and 3rd.
These programs aim to promote access to finance, green technologies, and climate change resilience. They will empower over 200,000 smallholder farmers with innovative climate-smart agricultural practices, including drought-resistant seeds, enhanced irrigation, and improved post-harvest processes. By fostering competitiveness, climate resilience, and inclusivity, these programs will revolutionize agriculture.
The Green Agri-Food System Programme (GRASP) is implemented by aBi Development Finance, while the Accelerating Adoption of Green & Inclusive Finance (AAGIF) program is led by aBi Finance Ltd. Details Follow: Agricultural Business Initiative
